Who are you?

I'm Katherine Elliott, a student at Olin College, a small school you may or may not have heard about. I'm currently pursuing an Engineering degree with a concentration in Systems engineering ("Systems" as in integrating mechanical and electrical systems, rather than engineering industrial systems).

Why radiant radon?

According to webelements.com, "When cooled below the freezing point, radon exhibits a brilliant phosphorescence which becomes yellow as the temperature is lowered and orange-red at the temperature of liquid air." It sounded really cool when I was fifteen and in search of a new handle.

What else are you interested in?

In my past life I was a huge quiz bowl dork and an oceanography dork. The summer after my sophomore year of college, I did stuff with cyanobacteria. The summer after my junior year, I worked on a website about jellyfish. I like making bean bags. Sometimes I put stuff on my head.

Where did you learn to balance things on your head?

At home when I was little, I guess? I don't remember when/where I learned. It's not that difficult.

Can I email you?

Of course! My email is radiantradon at gmail.
